davidAimee McKane is Program Manager of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory=s (LBNL) Industrial Partnerships program. Ms. McKane works with the US Department of Energy=s (USDOE) Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Industrial Technologies Program on several initiatives. These include a new program to certify industrial plants for energy efficiency, which includes an energy management standard as well as system assessment standards. She is also working with LBNL colleagues and USDOE on an energy efficiency program for data centers as well as ongoing work with BestPractices, a voluntary industrial partnership to encourage increased energy efficiency of industrial motor-driven, steam, and process heating systems. On behalf of DOE, she provided leadership in the formation of the Compressed Air Challenge, an extensive industry partnership that seeks to improve compressed air system performance through training and education. She served as Chief Technical Advisor for a five-year motor systems program pilot in China administered by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in cooperation with the Chinese government. She continues to develop international industrial energy efficiency strategies and projects for both UNIDO and USDOE. In 2003, Ms. McKane received the “Champion of Energy Efficiency” award from the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy in recognition of her contributions to the field. Ms. McKane has a BA with a major in architecture from Washington University and an MA in Business and Policy from the State University of New York.
